Inactivity in decision-making is as much the devil as overly burdensome micromanagement.

You are not being "strategic" or "high level." You are being an ass.

It promotes a lack of decision-making down the chain, it promotes sloth, and it promotes lowest common denominator performance across the board.

It ruins and/or drives away top performers as they watch underachievers scrape by.

That's all I have to say 'bout that.
