Strategic product development responsibilities included: product concept, definition, pricing and penetration and market research management. Products include core DSL-based ISP products, the emerging Application Service Provider (ASP) market, Websites as E-commerce channels and E-business initiatives, and Voice over DSL. Designed and managed www.dsl.net website.
DSL.net, Inc. is a fast-growing national start-up company providing high-speed Internet access and enhanced network solutions for business. DSL.net grew from 35 employees to 535 during my tenure.

Consumer lifecycle product management & market research manager for high-speed MegaBit DSL rollout across 14 states. Co-Founded Internet Service Provider based in Phoenix, Arizona with four offices throughout the Southwest.
Directed Business Development, Operations and Project Management for software development. Managed staff of 50, handled administration, P/L, marketing strategy and implementation, and development of new Internet products from conception to deployment. Negotiated large asset sale of connectivity portion of business to Winstar.
New company from local ISP in Phoenix in 1992 to 50+ employee company in 1996 providing: Dial-up & digital Internet connectivity, Corporate software consulting for Fortune 500 firms, and the GoSite Internet server —early 1995— the industryÕs first virtual Web hosting server. Over 1,500 business customers in 30 countries including Fortune 500 companies, thousands of consumer customers, and several Internet Direct franchisee operators.

Project Management and systems development. Created first-in-market pricing models for dial-up, DSL & Web-hosting product lines, managing up to 25 programmers. Designed websites for companies including publicly-traded firms.
Internet Direct GoSite Server: We developed the worldÕs first virtual web, email and ftp hosting server, setting the ndustry standard for pricing and features for several years. Responsible for end-user manuals and creative, online technical support and customer care design, software development for multiple OS platforms, and revamp of marketing to focus on high-volume national and international sales.
Business communications: Press releases, business proposals, product user guides, contracts, advertising copy, web writing and blog development, speaking engagements in the US and abroad, market research & pricing strategies.
Strategic Partnerships –
Developed product mix for DSL.net for 2nd and 3rd round VC-funding road shows (DSL.net went public). Created partnerships with executives from US and abroad, dealing extensively with McDonnell Douglas, Motorola, AZ Public Service Co. and representatives of the United Arab Emirates. Semester Adviser – American Graduate School for International Management (Thunderbird) directing graduate studies for Internet marketing and project development.
