INTERNET DIRECT CREATES VALUE
ADDED DEALER PROGRAM
GoSite Dealers Being Added To Communities Everywhere
"What we're trying to do here is kill two birds with one stone," said March from his headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. "On one hand, we've got customers around the world who are asking for a way to meet face to face with a GoSite dealer in their own area. At the same time, we have computer experts everywhere-- dealers, consultants, programmers, system administrators-- who see the value of the GoSite servers and have expressed an interest in representing us where they live."
GoSite servers are currently the world's best selling virtual servers. At $189 a month, large numbers of companies across the country and around the globe have been going on line with the new server package. "People are just snatching them up. We've definitely got a winning product," said Internet Direct's Director of Marketing, Jason Baer. The strong demand has prompted the creation of the VAD program, Baer said.
"The GoSite Authorized VAD program is designed for an elite group of highly qualified experts who can manage and actively promote the use of Internet Direct's products," March said. "We're looking for people who possess expertise in corporate sales, have strong computer skills, and who can develop business solutions suitable for web publishing."
"Here's how it works. When you sign up with us as a Value Added Dealer, you are given your own GoSite Server free for as long as you remain an authorized VAD. That's worth $2,457 in the first year alone. You can use that GoSite server to illustrate to customers how to use GoSites and what they can do. It's a great value," March said.
"Then, you will receive an override on every GoSite Server you sell. Right now, our VADs receive up to a 25% commission on each GoSite," March said. "If you can sell just one a week-- which is a gross underestimation of what's possible-- even at that rate you can expect to receive over $26,000 a year in overrides. And that doesn't even include residuals from our other services."
March explained that as an added benefit Internet Direct has agreed to refer internet clients to VADs in their area. "We get a lot of clients who need help with all kinds of computer related projects-- consulting, networking, programming, web design. When you factor in the added referrals, we're really giving VADs a tremendous opportunity to generate revenue. In a year or so I'd like to be able to refer all of our customers to the VAD in their area for computer consulting and other services. We're going to cover the whole country."
Internet Direct also supports the VAD's advertising campaign by contributing to advertisements in trade journals and magazines such as Internet World, Inc Magazine, Web Developer and Web Week. "We're not going to tell our VADs how to best advertise in their own area," said March, "but we will help them out with the ads themselves both with basic design and some financial compensation."
March suggested that those interested in becoming a VAD act as soon as possible. "We're trying to limit the number of VADs within any one area to a reasonable amount and since starting the program we've gotten a huge response," said March. "So I'd recommend to anyone who wants the edge over local competition-- sign up now." When asked about the $500 enrollment fee for VAD participation, Mr. March responded, "We ask for the enrollment fee to make sure that our applicants are serious about this. The fee is really insignificant when you consider the revenues that VAD approval will generate." If any application is refused for any reason, Internet Direct will return the enrollment fees.
