INTERNET DIRECT, INC. ANNOUNCES OPENING DAY FOR
THE ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS WORLD WIDE WEB (WWW) SITE
Phoenix, Ariz. (April 15, 1996) - Internet Direct, Inc. today
announced it has launched the official World Wide Web (WWW) site for Arizona's
new Major League Baseball franchise, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The official
team site, located at (http://azdiamondbacks.com), was created
specifically for fans to have quick access to information on the players,
upcoming game schedules, and updates on the construction of BankOne Ballpark.
First launched on April 8, 1996, it is the first official Major League Baseball
Web site that enables fans to follow a team from its inception to the first
pitch on game day.
"Our design staff created a user-friendly site that enables fans to access anything from detailed images of each new level of BankOne Ballpark as it is constructed, to a Team Shop, a 'virtual' store that allows users to browse the wide selection of Diamondbacks memorabilia," said Jason Baer, vice president of marketing for Internet Direct. "From a design perspective, this is one of the best sites on the Web."
Anyone with an Internet connection can access the Arizona Diamondbacks Homepage which includes: a Newswire; a Ticket Booth, with a stadium seating layout and ticket pricing; a Clubhouse, introducing all of the Diamondbacks' players and executive staff; BankOne Ballpark, construction updates; and a "virtual" Team Shop.
Internet Direct is the exclusive Internet service provider for the Arizona Diamondbacks WWW site, handling all graphic design, programming, and implementation. In addition, the site is stored on The GoSite Internet Server, a "virtual" Web server offered exclusively by Internet Direct.
Internet Direct has also designed, programmed, and implemented Web sites for Arizona Highways (http://www.arizhwys.com), Guerrilla Marketing Online (http://gmarketing.com),
Dash n' Dine (http://www.dash-n-dine.com) and its latest service, PROFESSORPETE.COM (http://professorpete.com), a free, content-rich on-line tutorial highlighting the key elements involved in designing a successful business Web site.
The GoSite Internet Server combines the most advanced server hardware functionality and high-end Internet server software available for the World Wide Web today, giving users the capability to cost effectively implement, maintain, and market an effective Web presence on the Internet WWW.
