(September 1992 to July 1996)



  • February 1993 - Internet Direct Opens first offices

    Internet Direct opens offices in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
    Michael March, Founder and President.
    William Fisher, Co-Founder.


  • April 1993 - First Customer Dial-in Heard - Phoenix

    On April 1st 1993, the first official customer dial-in was heard in the Internet Direct modem pools in Phoenix, ending the free beta-testing period. This made ID the first commercial Internet provider offering full Internet access in the Metro Phoenix market.


  • July 1993 - First Provider In Ariz. Offering Full SLIP/PPP Access

    Internet Direct is the first provider in Arizona to offer full SLIP and PPP capabilities, including installation software and packaged TCP/IP software suites for users.


  • August 1993 - First Customer Dial-in heard - Tucson

    On August 1st 1993, the first official customer dial-in was heard in the Internet Direct modem pools in Tucson, AZ, making ID the first commercial provider of Internet services in both Phoenix and Tucson.


  • April 1994 - ID Announces Custom Router Hardware

    Internet Direct announces the first turn-key dedicated commercial connectivity solution for businesses via custom manufactured ID routers and routing management software. ID remains the only provider in the state with custom routing hardware/software solutions.


  • September 1994 - ID Chosen as Vendor of Internet to Motorola at Trade Show

    Internet Direct was chosen as the vendor for Internet services to Motorola, Inc. at the Fall '94 ComDex Computer trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada. ID demos work for Motorola WEB Search Engines.


  • December 1994 - ID Starts Internet Price War for Business

    Internet Direct begins a competitive price war for digital connectivity in the state, based on recently announced turn-key routing solutions. ID begins offering digital 56K and T-1 connectivity from 40%-60% lower than competitors, making digital, dedicated access affordable for businesses.


  • January 1995 - ID Offers 24 hour, 365 Day Voice Tech Support

    Internet Direct became the first provider with 24-hour, 365 day a year voice technical support and systems monitoring. ID remains the only provider in the Southwest United States to offer 24 hour Technical Support.


  • February 1995 - ID Opens Graphics Design Department for Web

    Internet Direct, recognizing the growth in the commercial marketing potential of the Internet, creates the Design Consulting Group to manage World Wide Web graphics consultation and design, as well as Internet advertising and marketing design consulting. ID is the first provider in Arizona to create a dedicated graphics consulting group. This group has also been formed to lay the groundwork for the announcement of the business I-Site Internet servers.


  • March 1995 - ID Announces I-Site Internet Servers

    Internet Direct announces the unveiling of the I-Site line of Internet products, including the I-Site Internet Server.


  • April 1995 - Disaster.Net Created for relief in Oklahoma Bombing

    Internet Direct announces the creation of Disaster.Net approximately 12 hours after the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Disaster.Net is created as an index to disaster-related incidents around the world.


  • June 1995 ID - Business Manager Speaks in Gulf Region

    Internet Direct Business Manager William Fisher asked to speak at Internet Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Gulf Region Telecommunications Managers.


  • July 1995 - State of the Company Address

    Internet Direct President Michael March delivers the first State of the Company address to employees.


  • August 1995 - ID Again Chosen to Provide Internet for Motorola at Fall'95 Comdex

    Internet Direct was chosen as the vendor for Internet services to Motorola, Inc. at the Fall '95 ComDex Computer trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada.


  • September 1995 - InterNIC Announces first "Internet Tax"

    The federally-funded InterNIC Registration service which provides all domain names or "addresses" on the Internet, announced a fee for domain registration of $100. This tax was implemented without warning on September 14th, 1995. Internet Direct has announced the creation of a program to help customers deal with this and the problems associated with upcoming Internet regulations.


  • September 1995 ID Signs MOU with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace

    Internet Direct signs Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace to assist MDA in meeting billions of dollars in offset obligations throughout the world, including the Gulf Region and Far East.
    Internet Direct is now doing business in over 10 countries, including Lebanon, Korea, UAE, Canada, Greece, Korea, Italy, China, Brazil, Venezuela, UK, Holland and the US.


  • October 1995 - ID Returns to Gulf States for Internet Conference

    Internet Direct was asked to return to the Gulf Region for an Internet Conference Roundtable with Middle East Telco representatives, including Etisalat, Q-Tel and representatives from Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. ID also finalized several overseas consulting contracts in Lebanon and the Gulf States.


  • October 1995 I-Site server Displayed at Fall '95 Internet World Conference

    Internet Direct was represented at the Fall '95 Internet World Conference in Boston Mass., October 30th-Nov 1st. ID also announced new encrypted transaction processing capabilities for the I-Site Internet Servers.


  • November 1995 - ID Teams with Coriolis Publishing to Provide Test-drives for Businesses on the Internet

    Internet Direct announced that it will work with the Coriolis Publishing Group to create an off-the-shelf business Internet package which allows businesses to test-drive a business Internet site on-line. The expected release date is January 1996.


  • November 1995 I-Site server Technology Displayed at Fall'95 ComDex World Trade Show in Vegas

    Internet Direct was represented at the Fall '95 ComDex World Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV, November 13th-17th. ID also announced new database capabilities for the I-Site Internet Servers.


  • December 1995 ID Acquires new Director of Marketing

    Internet Direct has asked Mr. Jason Baer to act as the new Director of Marketing for the fast-growing Company. "We have developed several unique products which are situated well for the market," said William Fisher, Business Manager. "It was time to see these great products get out in to the market with a strong presence. Mr. Baer will bring that marketing experience and drive to the Company."


  • January 1996 ID asked to Speak at Attorney Internet Conference

    Internet Direct has been asked to speak in front of a regional conference of Attorneys regarding Internet connectivity and its effects on business and the law. ID will be represented by Business Manager William Fisher.


  • February 1996 ID announces GoSite Server Package

    Internet Direct renamed the I-Site Server Package to the GoSite Server Package. With the new name came a new look, improved services, bug fixes, new software releases and better documentation.

  • February 1996 - ID Creates Value Added Dealer Program

    Internet Direct initiates it's new Value Added Dealer Program. This new program allows consultants and designers to resell the GoSite Internet Server Package to their clients.


  • April, 1996 - ID launches Professor Pete

    Internet Direct launches The First World Wide Web Site Aimed At Facilitating Business Web Site Design And Layout.


  • April, 1996 - ID Creates the official Arizona Diamondbacks WWW Site

    Internet Direct ID launches the official World Wide Web (WWW) site for the Arizona Diamondbacks.


  • July, 1996 - Internet Direct sells access accounts

    Internet Direct sells access accounts to focus on international web hosting and consulting.
